In these photos, I am hoping to explore the darker side of the Seven Deadly Sins in a way that goes beyond what has been commonly perceived. While I understand that this is already a macabre subject, it has mostly been stylized in a way that has been subdued as a means to avoid dealing with the deeper meaning. I want to be able to show how the Seven Deadly Sins are viewed from my perspective. I aim to explore different scenarios and lighting within the photos to give them a haunting interpretation.

When I ponder on the Seven Deadly Sins, I think about all the different aspects that are affecting me and the people around me. I want to be able to express how they may affect my life and those close to me. I want to do this in a way that creates a lasting impression. Growing up, I thought of the Seven Deadly Sins as things in my life to avoid and how each of them brought out the worst in people. While I still believe that to be the case, life experiences as a young adult have helped me better understand the nuances that can be found within each of the Sins.
